Gilt by Appointment is Gilt’s first-ever in-person shopping experience. Located in our New York City showroom, you can make an appointment to shop a curated selection of designer apparel, luxe handbags & more – all at up to 70% off retail. Plus, a personal stylist is always on site to assist you.

How do I make an appointment?
In order to book time in the showroom, simply visit www.Gilt.com/GiltbyAppointment and click on “Make Your Appointment.” From there, you can select your appointment type and complete your booking.
What are the different types of appointments?
You can choose from 3 different appointment types:
Shared Appointment (60 minutes) - You and one other Gilt by Appointment guest will shop the showroom with help from our stylist. We ask that members do not bring guests to this appointment.
Private Appointment (60 minutes) - You’ll shop the showroom solo with our personal stylist’s undivided attention. You’re also welcome to bring one or two guests.
Group Appointment (2 hours) The ultimate shopping party: You and up to five friends will shop the showroom with help from our stylist.
For what days and times can I schedule my appointment?
Appointment times may vary week to week, but typically, appointments are available Tuesday-Friday from 9:30am-6pm.
Why don’t you have appointments in the evenings or on weekends?
Like most showrooms, we operate during office hours. In order to remain as flexible as possible, we have a number of appointments available during lunch hours and near the end of the work day. We also have evening slots available for our Group appointments.
When do new appointments open up?
Appointments for the following week open to the public every Friday at 12pm EST. They’re on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to book as soon as possible.
Why do I have to make an appointment in advance?
We ask that you make an appointment in advance, so that the Gilt by Appointment team is fully prepared for your showroom visit. When you arrive, you’ll see that we’ve pre-selected items in your size based on your noted style, budget and upcoming events.
Why is a deposit necessary?
We require a deposit in order to secure your appointment and prevent last-minute cancellations. Your full deposit amount acts as a credit and will go towards your Gilt by Appointment purchase. If you don’t make a purchase, we’ll fully refund you.
If you do not show up for your appointment, then we cannot refund your deposit.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments can be cancelled; however, you cannot cancel with less than 24 hours notice. If you do, then we cannot refund your deposit.
If you cancel with more than 24 hours notice, then we will fully refund your deposit.
If your appointment was originally booked from the waitlist, then you can cancel at any time and receive a refund for your deposit.
How is the deposit for my refund processed?
Refunds are processed via the payment platform Stripe. After canceling your appointment, you will receive an email from Stripe confirming that your refund is in process. All refunds take approximately 10-15 business days to be fully processed.
What is the difference between a confirmed appointment and a waitlist appointment?
A confirmed appointment means that you definitely have an appointment for the date and time you selected. A waitlist appointment means that another customer has a confirmed appointment during your desired time slot. In this scenario, you can opt to join the waitlist so you can have this appointment should another member cancel. When selecting an appointment, it will note in red whether your desired time slot is available or waitlist only.
How will I know if I am off the waitlist?
You will receive a confirmation email as soon as the appointment is available. If you cannot attend your appointment, we will refund your deposit.

What can I expect from my showroom appointment?
The appointment can be whatever you make of it. If you want help from our personal stylist, she will gladly assist you in finding specific items or will suggest what’s in-season. If you prefer to shop alone, then we can accommodate that as well.
What type of merchandise is in the showroom?
We currently carry women’s apparel, footwear, scarves, belts, handbags, sunglasses, and jewelry. All merchandise varies in price in order to accommodate all shoppers. The showroom features Gilt’s private label brands, as well as a large selection of contemporary, luxury and designer goods.
Do you carry men’s or kid’s merchandise in the showroom?
We currently only carry women’s merchandise
Can I bring a friend?
If you book a private or group appointment, we welcome your guests.
The deposit for private appointments allows you to bring up to 2 friends, while a group appointment can accommodate up to five friends.
If you book a shared appointment you are unable to bring a guest.
Can I use Gilt Credits when shopping the showroom?
Credits available in your Gilt.com account cannot be applied to your Gilt by Appointment purchase.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. We do not accept cash or checks.
Will I receive Insider points for my Gilt by Appointment purchase?
If you are a Gilt Insider member and would like to receive points for your showroom purchase, please tell a Gilt by Appointment staff member the email associated with your Gilt.com account. We’ll then update your Insider Dashboard accordingly.
What happens if you don’t have something in my size?
If we don’t have your size in the showroom, we’ll locate the item for you through Gilt.com or our warehouse.
How often is merchandise refreshed?
We receive new merchandise every two weeks, so visit often!
What is your return policy?
The following showroom items are non-returnable and final sale”
All non-sized items, including handbags, jewelry, watches, and beauty and home products
The following items are returnable and must be returned unused, unworn, unwashed, undamaged with all tags still attached
All sized items, including clothing, footwear and belts
To process your Gilt By Appointment return, eligible items must be returned to the showroom within 14 days for a full refund to your credit card. You can return your purchase within 30 days for a Gilt.com credit. Please follow these steps when initiating a return:

Within 14 days of purchase, you have the option to receive a refund to your original form of payment. You may bring the merchandise back to Gilt by Appointment or ship it with a $7.95 shipping fee. We’ll provide the return label when you contact us via email.
